I have only read about a couple of people who had problems with their fuel pumps although several more had problems with the electrical connectors not being fully plugged in.

As far as the pump in my 2011 goes, it has never shown the slightest hint of a problem and my RE is coming up on 23,000 miles (37,100 km).

I've done nearly 45k kms on my '15 C5 - same fuel pump as the GT, no issues.

Side note. Are the gt pumps the same as the 500 bullet eith uce engine?
Dealer wants $860 AU for a new pump

HF!  Any chance of making a blanking plate and using a far less expensive external pump?

Did you check the fuses and the 3 relays?  The time mine stranded me was the fuse for the efi circuit. That's about the time I chocked up the back of the tank to fix a wiring fault.

Nah Simon. Swapped relays out. You can hear the fuel pump clicking but not the priming sound.

As far as I know, the pumps are the same, this is a UK listing http://tiny.cc/r7rw2y (http://tiny.cc/r7rw2y) But the part number etc.. is in the details.
Remove your pump module, take it apart and fit the new pump, I've had mine apart for cleaning and it isn't difficult.

Thanks Boxerman. Fuses all good. Relays all good. Will pull the tank off and pull out fuel pump tomorrow.  Thanks for the link.
Ps
Frank, just ordered that part. $155 is alot better than the $860 i was quoted. 4 week turn around though.
Cheers
Paul.

Brilliant information. Be good if there was a sticky on the forum with a list of easy to obtain alternatives to genuine Enfield parts.

Here in the U.S. this is where I got a replacement for mine:
https://www.highflowfuel.com/ag-1320125.1317715.1320995.1320996.1317805-motorcycle-scooter-2012-royal-enfield-bullet-500-efi.html (https://www.highflowfuel.com/ag-1320125.1317715.1320995.1320996.1317805-motorcycle-scooter-2012-royal-enfield-bullet-500-efi.html)
Very nice pump for a damned sight less than OEM. I posted a pictorial of replacement in this forum here:

The PN I ordered may not be the correct one for your CGT, but hope it helps.

Bike back together and running, super simple to pull guts out and replace pump. Used the RMX from the Suzuki. Thanks for all the input gents.

Yes they fit the C5 euro 3 models. Looking at photos of the latest euro 4 models the pump housing under the tank appears to be  plastic so I have no idea if they use the same pump .

Lots of great info here!

Heloego, are you certain that the pump you ordered and used will fit the 535 CGT?

Yes the Quantum pump HFP397  that Heloego used will fit CGT ( pre euro 4 anyway) ,  While researching that Quantum pump I noticed it was also listed for the RMX ,  so I searched eBay for RMX pumps and found the Kemso pump. Both are direct replacements for the Keihin 30 mm pump

Thanks for jumping in there Jako.

My bike's a 2012, so fitment on any of the Euro3 or 4 models or CGTs (at Quantum) wasn't available. All they list is the "500".
