Title: UCE & AVL Oil Change Kits?
Post by: B5er on April 24, 2012, 03:31:25 am
It looks like the oil filters for UCE and AVL are the same. They come in kits from Nfieldgear.com. Are the O rings the same for both, too?  I have access to an AVL kit, but I own a B5 with a UCE. I'd rather use what I have than buy another UCE kit...

Many thanks.

I'm not sure if the O-rings are the same but you can usually reuse them for a few changes do long as they are still pliable and not damaged.

Not sure about AVLs but I do know there are a few differences between my B5 and the G5.  The B5 oil filter cover has three bolts not two and the pressure plate for the oil filter is a single piece with an Allen key holding the brass plate onto the spring section.
