I took my 200 pound self, my 160 pound girlfriend and 50 pounds of gear from the Pacific Ocean, across California on the interstate, and over 10,000 feet elevation to the eastern Sierra and back in two days. It was no problem!

Just because it's possible ...... doesn't make it comfortable, or, a good idea.

I should add that I fabricated a custom pillion seat. The stock pillion seats aren't very wide. Make sure your pillion tries it out before you buy.

According to the owners manual for the C5 the maximum payload is 178 kg which is about 392 pounds.

What will help is a set of Hagon shocks properly sprung and NOT running Dunlop K70's. The Avon AM26 the C5 comes with has nice stiff sidewalls.
Mind your ground clearance while cornering and enjoy.

The down hill parts will be a lot easier than the up hill parts.

You could always get two bikes to remove any doubts.   ;)  A C5 and a G5 riding together would get more than a bit of attention.
