OK , I’ll agree there are some really stupid ideas out there. But you have to take the bad with the good.

Practicality and rationality are always in conflict.
Private pilots love flying yet strive to own faster planes to get it over with more quickly.
Bicycle riders want to get more exercise and spend crazy money to make it easier.
