Does anyone know if taking off the RH crankcase cover requires disconnecting the (Cozy) sidecar?

It may be possible. It depends on which model you have. A quick glance should tell you. I see no need to remove all of the struts from any model though, just whatever is in the way

Thank you Kevin.  Its great the way you monitor this forum!

I have a C5.  Can you get one strut out without removing them all?  (I ask because the Haynes manual says you have to remove the foot peg.)

I can now answer this question myself.  Yes.  (I had the work done by a dealer; an extra hour of labor.)
