Life is simple. Apostrophes are not.
https://www.grammarbook.com/punctuation/apostro.asp

An example is good ol' rule number 10:
"Rule 10. Beware of false possessives, which often occur with nouns ending in s. Don’t add apostrophes to noun-derived adjectives ending in s. Close analysis is the best guide."

In 1st gear the tacho hit about 6500rpm and there was a breif cut in the ignition
I find it quite annoying, that's why I never go above 6K on the center stand in 1st.

(I like to pop wheelies and that's the only way I can figure to get the 650s front wheel up  ;D)

Rev limiter in 1st is lower than in other gears!

I was surprised as well, it was cutting before going into red, but only in 1st.

It's by design.

Unless you know that for certain and can provide the source it’s far more likely the rev counter needle damping just means it doesn’t get to read to redline in first before the ignition cutout occurs.  It’s not a superbike there is no rational reason to vary the rev limiter by gear.

Easy to find out, accelerate more slowly and see if the tacho gets to the red line or not. It won't hurt the bike even if it seems painful

I mentioned this as the probable reason in the second post.

So for interest only I tried slowly accepting in first gear yesterday and can confirm the ignition cutout comes at the same point in all gears. It just appears to be earlier in first because the needle damping stops the needle keeping up with the rate of change of revs.

By the way if you are bouncing this thing off the rev limiter you are riding it wrong
