Welcome aboard, and next time try the Blue Ridge Parkway, which hooks up with southern end of Skyline Drive. It's got a 45 instead of 35 mph speed limit throughout, is every bit as nice or better, and doesn't soak you for a $30 toll.

Nice ride, thanks for your post.  It reminds me of the Blue Ridge Parkway. I have done that ride three different times now. Two times on a Guzzi and one time on my HD Road Glide. One of these days I’d like to do it on a RE.
