Title: When did the header change?
Post by: Ducati Scotty on September 03, 2010, 05:10:38 am
So exactly when did the header change from the nicely curve, flowing one like the one pictured here:

To the one I have on my C5 that is straight sections connected by bends?  i like that older style better, just speaks to a time when things were done artfully instead of in the least expensive way.  The Suzuki TU 250 has a flowing pipe like that one and it looks quite pretty.

All Indian made 500 cc bikes were / are supplied with a sharp bent head pipe. The 350s always came with the smoothly rounded pipe. :-\

Thanks for the info guys.  Not sure I'll spend money to get this any time soon but it's good to know the story.
