Title: First ride orange Interceptor
Post by: bonkers on April 13, 2019, 09:23:53 am
New local dealer had a orange Interceptor demomodel. Did some miles on it. Nice bike but not extreme in anything. Very simple to ride and to get used to. Bit like the kawa W650 but nothing like a old Bonnie or Commando. Conclusion, I am so very happy with my stealth black classic 500. So much more character! After 3000 km it starts  running like a dream.
B.t.w. Had a ride last sunday together with 4 Norton Commando's. 200 km in front off them was real fun. Never felt so good coming off that little thumper . Beautifull weather and a fantastic happening with over 200 brittish bikes.

My iron barrels were the same. After 2000kms they totally loosened up and ran much better. The gearboxes also did the same.
cheers

IMO, if you have the patience to deal with the factory "warts", the Iron Barrels are the best Bullets of all. They are the "real deal" and the true vintage experience.
