That was a few years ago now. They were Interstates not Commandos.
To me it seems counterproductive to auction them all at once. Surely the estate would have done better releasing them gradually.

Well, I think it's academic now.
The link was news back in April 13, 2010 but I think after 2 1/2 years they're probably sold off by now. :(

All the production bikes going into the '70s were Commandoes. Kinda like the RE's are Bullets. If you look at the shot you will see Commando on the side covers with Interstate on the tank. The Interstates just had bigger tanks for a longer range and other styling mods. I don't think there were any Combat Interstates made though.
