I didn't find prices - what do you think, maybe $10K - $12K?

I think I heard that the price might be $11,500, so you are right on the money.   ;)  I bet you don't get batteries and some other stuff too in the kit, though.  ???

My son-in-law claims that there is another source for a small car kit motor for around $2,500, but I am not sure what you might get for that price.

What about a nuke as power source?

https://ecat.com/

The best swedish scientist looked at it and came to the conclusion that it works.

I remember an idea floated in the "wayback" to use the decay heat of low-grade spent fissiles packed into 55 gallon drums as supplemental heat sources in private home basements (East coast, obviously), reducing oil use. Electric Power from nuclear sources was to be so cheap it would be given away. Thank Gawd our Private Utilities scotched that, eh? :D

:D ...3 major ideas I remember from my childhood. Cars will be powered by nuclear, there won't be any need to refuel during the lifespan of the vehicle. There will be pills you take one and your life gets extended by 20 years or so, 20 years later you take the next. Phone calls will be made through the TV, that was at a time long before wireless communication, it happened.

As tech marches on, fiction segues into our reality. I can't wait for med-tech to catch up. It'd be great to have fully functioning eyes & ears again. Maybe all new teeth too? Skin that wasn't fragile crepe paper?  :o

Agreed, however the transport of information and the transport of matter underlay different laws of physics.  ;)

Transformation too.

I am still waiting for the 100 mpg carburetor that I saw in an ad at the back of Popular Science magazine during the early 1940's.  ;D

I think every 350/500 Bullet comes equipped with that MikCarb, or at least a 75-90 MPG version... ;D

Well there may be a lot of issues to still sort with electric vehicles but performance is not one of them.

6.50 second 1000m passes. 201 mph quarter mile, 2400 horsepower and 2000 foot lbs of torque
not in the same league as top fuel yet, but getting there

Is that a burnout, or is the clutch just not dialed in? Is there even a clutch?
