Thinking of selling Dad's Interceptor after having spent much time gathering parts and traveling to vintage bike shows in the North east over the last several years. Could easily be ridden but has only been shown since completion. 100% matching numbers with very little left to be done to be period perfect. Struggling with sentimental value but don't ride myself, so it seems a waste just to polish occasionally. What is a bike like this worth? Is there a market?

Very nice looking bike!
I don't know what the collector market is like these days, but I think that it would go for whatever the collectors are paying these days.
Things have changed since the economic downturn, so it might not bring as much as it would have before that.
Check the Ebay auction closing prices for some reference to the going selling rates for these.

Ace
Thank you for information! I think the bike is a great example of this vintage machine. When started, it absolutely inspires.

Ace is right on the money about the value these days. Frankly I wouldn't sell it now it's a beautiful bike. I think the market will rise on these again. ERC

Per NADA vintage guide, a condition 1 showroom perfect MK1 will average $7400 at auction. Condition 2, needing very little work but a good runner, will average $4305.

Thank you all for the feedback.
At NADA values it hardly seems worth consideration. I don't think the bike is show room perfect but it could be easily. More emphasis was placed on keeping original than showroom.

RAP - Oh, man, that's a sweet thing! Maybe it's time to stop thinkin' about sellin, and start thinkin' about ridin'!!!

Probably sacrilege to say this in an Enfield community but if I were going to ride it would be would be the latest project bike, '78 900 SS bevel head. This one I believe I will have to ride at least once. ;)
