Just had a problem with a sheared stud at the bottom of the front forks on my bullet.
Thought I'd share the method I finally used to get it out.
There wasn't enough thread to get 2 nuts on, and trying to remove it with various tools including wd40 and mole grips was unsuccessful.
In the end I used a file to file a flat edge on one side, then fitted a tap wrench on - using the flat I had made for the appropriate end - with judicial use of mole grips to tighten it up. This finally started things moving.
Repeated removal and replacing of the tap wrench - the flat spot was no longer an absolute necessity - led to the final removal of the remains of the stud.

Well done!
A trifecta of Pre-Unit Bullets: a Red Deluxe 500, a Green Standard 500, and a Black ES 350.
