I was wondering if anyone had tried one of these yet? I ordered one from Baxter, should have it by Tuesday or Wednesday I'm thinking. It says it provides a 15mm lower stand over height, which would be nice, as I'm on the short side at 5'6". I think it looks pretty nice too, curious to see if it's any softer than the stock seat.

I'll be back to update this thread after I've gotten it on and tested it.
Keepin' the shiny side up - ride safe everyone 😊👍

That seat looks great.. I've just picked up my Shotgun650 yesterday - I've put 65 or so miles on it.. no butt troubles, however I could imagine the stock seat will be an issue if i were to take a day trip.. how is that one?

Congrats on your new Shotgun!

So the signature seat looks great and indeed is a little lower than the stock seat. However it seems to have very little padding, so I don't know how it would be for longer rides. I have a mesh airflow cover on mine for summertime riding, and it works well. Of course these things are always so subjective. But I think it's fair to say that the signature seat is not as cushy/padded as the stock one. I wonder if they will eventually make a touring one, or something that's more comfy? In the meantime, I know some people on Facebook have put padded seat covers on, said that worked well for them.

You aren't that far from Shasta Lake, California. A nice one way day ride to Russell Cycle Products could get you the most comfortable m/c seat you have ever had. Book a three day holiday. One day to get there, one day for the seat rebuild and one day to get home, which would be having you glad you spent the money on a custom seat.

Or, send your seat in to them this "winter" and they will rebuild it without you taking the ride.

1983 Honda CB1000
1995 Honda ST1100 - sold 2015 after 175,000 km

Thanks for the tips Dexter! I would LOVE to make that ride, but not sure about the feasibility of it anytime soon. That being said, I could definitely send it to them this winter for a "rebuild."
