So what's he's saying Dexter, is we both need to buy a Shotgun if we wish to continue to enjoy AzKev's company. Fine - I'll do what I have to do....  ;D

LOL! Actually, I said I would still frequent the 350 forum too. However, I'm thinking some part of you wanted to hear that, and WANTS you to get a Shotgun, so yes - do what you have to do! 😂

If you haven't test ridden one yet, I suggest doing so only if you are ok with becoming obsessed with getting one, as I did haha. I love my Meteor 350, and was not impressed with the change in riding position on the Super Meteor, nor the different styling. It's a nice enough bike to be sure, but too different from my Meteor.

Now the Shotgun, to me, it looks much more like my Meteor 350. And when I test rode it, I realized that, to me anyway, the riding position is extremely similar to the Meteor. So basically, it's like having a Meteor 350 with a few more CC's for freeway riding, which is exactly what I was hoping for.

Honestly, I had kinda hoped I wouldn't like it when I test rode it because I knew the wife wouldn't be happy with me trading my current bike in so soon after getting it 😮 Lol
Keepin' the shiny side up - ride safe everyone 😊👍

Hi Kevin,
Sounds from the text you sent me that you didn't have to wait that long since you are already riding your new blue ride.
I think you did very well to wait for the blue one. It is stunning.
Also, glad you are pleased with your dealer. In today's world, it is becoming more and more challenging to find a good one.
Are you finding that you are driving a bit faster than on your 350 Meteor?

Hello! Thank you! And yes, I am grateful for a good dealer like Kelly's. I was pretty shocked when I got the call just 2 weeks after ordering that the bike was in. I was expecting more like 3-4 weeks.

I am definitely driving faster on my Shotgun. Not gonna's lie, it has been nice to be able to take the freeway all the way home on the days I work in the office. It saves me about 15-20 minutes, and that's time I get back in my day, which is invaluable. At the same time, it's very nice to kick back and cruise on, and I use it for quick runs to the grocery store, errands, etc too, where I don't ride fast. I think that's what I love about it so much, is that I have the flexibility to do either comfortably.

Of course I miss the gas mileage of my Meteor lol. I was getting about 74mpg on my 350. First tank on the Shotgun, I got around 57mpg - which honestly isn't that bad, considering I was only getting about 45mpg on the Honda Magna I had before the Meteor.

Tomorrow, I will be riding to work at about 85°F degrees, and riding home at about 113°F! I ride up to 115, at which I point I drive my truck. I rode home a few years back when it was 119° and after the 17 miles, my fingertips hurt, even though I was wearing gloves, and I think I might have gotten pretty close to heat exhaustion.

Hope you are doing well and staying cool!

Pretty bike Kev!

Thanks Matt! I'm absolutely loving it. The only thing I am considering changing at this point is getting either new handlebars, maybe from Super Meteor, or risers to bring the controls back just a little bit. I'm fairly short, 5'6", and have to lean and reach a little more than I would prefer. It's not terrible, but would like it to be closer to what my Meteor 350 was like. Other than that, the bike is absolutely splendid  :)
