Everything I've seen says that we should see the Shotgun 650 in US dealers by Spring 2024. Of course, the same was said of the Super Meteor if I remember correctly, and it didn't show up until several months after it was announced it would. Should we expect the same with the Shotgun? Curious if anyone out there works for a dealer, supplier, etc, and might have some decent "intel" to share with those of us who are eager to see one IRL  :D

Well, yesterday, I got my answer lol. Our local dealer is hosting a Royal Enfield demo event April 11-12th, and they will have Shotguns available for test rides, along with pretty much every other bike in their lineup. I cannot WAIT to try one out! I'll be back with my "personal" review afterwards.

My biggest concern at this point is seat height, as I am only 5'6". Another concern for me is availability of pannier/saddlebag racks. I use my motorcycle for commuting, runs to the store, etc and bags are an absolute must.

SG are available in the east like Baxter RE. The Portland OR dealer have them on the truck from Texas and should show up anytime.
REs I currently own:
2007 AVL Bullet Electra Gray
2010 Bullet G5 Deluxe Black
2017 535 GT Continental Red
2018 Himalayan White
2018 Pegasus Green
2024 650 Super Meteor Celestial Blue

Yeah, I saw a video from Baxter's - just not willing to make the drive to Marne, Iowa 😁 That's cool they will be in Portland soon. I'm assuming they will have some for sale at or after the demo event in 3 weeks. I'm sure hoping so!

So, much to my surprise - and dismay - our local RE dealer still doesn't have them in stock, even AFTER the demo event last Friday. Which stinks, because I rode one, and definitely want to purchase now! I see that they have them in CA, NV, OR, CO, TX - basically every state around us - what gives? And Arizona, Phoenix especially, is a big biking place, LOTS of motorcycles here.

I'm hoping someone here in Phoenix gets some soon. Otherwise, I might have to purchase online and have one shipped! Lol.

Phoenix is just a 6 hour shake down from Phoenix. Fly into McCarran, ride it home, change oil the next day! An early dinner at the Cool Water Cafe in Wikieup, priceless... ;D
A trifecta of Pre-Unit Bullets: a Red Deluxe 500, a Green Standard 500, and a Black ES 350.

I'm thinking you meant to say 6 hours from Vegas  ;)  I thought about doing something like that, or even buying one and having it shipped here. But it's a very delicate situation with the "boss" that I am trying to navigate to even get one lol. I need to trade in my current ride, and she's not super happy about the idea of me doing that so soon after buying it (9 months).

I put a deposit on one with one of our local dealers, so I'll have first dibs when they do get one. They are thinking they should arrive within the next couple of weeks, so I can be patient.
At least that's the story I'm telling myself. We'll see how long I can hold out  ;D

Usually there's better buy-in when there's something in it for everyone. IF "SWMBO" likes to ride with you, that gets easier.  Fly in to Las Vegas, spend the night, see a show, get your new ride & tootle down to south to Laughlin & stay at the Avi Indian Casino or if adventurous head east & cross over the Colorado at the "new" bridge, then south to Kingman, then east out Route 66 to the Hualapai Lodge in Peach Springs. Next day if in Laughlin head home thru Wickieup/Wickenburg. If you made it to Peach Springs, maybe wander farther east thru Seligman, Ash Fork, then down to Prescott where you could spend a night at the historic Hassayampa Inn. Next day back down thru Jerome and home. A mini-vacation & quality bonding time!

If SWMBO isn't interested in a long ride, there's always a flight back to Phoenix, right? You'll likely be home within a couple hours of her arrival back at the homestead if traveling solo. A night in Las Vegas can incentivise a girl.
