Itchy Boots got the Himalayan 452 up to 140 kph without any problem according to her comment below the video. She also mentioned that the preproduction bike that she is riding has tubes in the tires but the production bikes will have tubeless wheels. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NIQCCR08I8

With 40 HP on tap, a near 9,000 RPM redline and a 6-speed 140 KPH sounds about right. 85 MPH is a right good clip on an inherently aerodynamically draggy dirt bike. The 180 MPH Hayabusa has aero body panels and a "cockpit" for a good reason.

The historical baseline is that it takes about 30 HP to hit 100 MPH, assuming proper gearing and rider blended into the paint. The Scram version of the LC452 will be tons-o'-fun for the street folks.

Sounds like they liked it to me. Except for some snatchiness in 1st gear there was little bellyaching. I can feel my new affordable, used 2021 carbureted, 465-kitted Himi getting closer every day. Some early adopter will purge it from his inventory for a song...

Sounds like they addressed the main criticisms of the Mk1 Himmy, ie not enough grunt.
