Hello all.

I'm the proud owner of a Meteor 350. The Super Meteor finally showed up at our local dealer, and is very tempting. Being that it's a new model, especially here in the US where it's just now making an appearance, I'm wondering what the accessories situation is like with it. Are there decent saddlebag/pannier brackets, panniers, engine guards, etc available? I know I could just Google it, but with newer models, it doesn't always produce accurate results.

Curious to hear what Super Meteor owners out there are experiencing with this.

Keepin' the shiny side up - ride safe everyone 😊👍

I do believe that ordering the top o' the line SM gets you panniers and such touring accessories included. At least I think I saw that mentioned in early press releases.
Past rides:
1966 Honda 65 Sport
1967 Honda CB160
1973 Honda CB750
1982 Honda V45 Magna - the most uncomfortable bike I ever did a cross country tour on!
1983 Honda CB1000
1995 Honda ST1100 - sold 2015 after 175,000 km
1996 Honda ST1100
Current ride:
2021 Royal Enfield Stellar Blue Meteor 350

It's a very tempting proposition for me, checking out a SM650. The story I am telling myself - partially to keep from running out and getting one lol - is that it would be best to wait a year or 2 for them to work out any kinks, and for more aftermarket accessories to become available.

Good idea to wait for a model year or two. If you have been observing the 650 forum, as I do on occasion, you would have noticed a substantially higher number of "issues" that have cropped up with the 650's, as opposed to our 350 Meteors. Granted, the 650's have been out longer by a couple of years, which may be more indicative of problems arising over time, but still, it is something to consider.

I bought the SME650 as I was impressed with the Meteor 350 support for accessories as at the time I owned a Classic 350. I bought the cheapest of the range but since purchasing have added the following accessories:
- Givi compact engine guard
- RE sump guard
- Givi hard side panniers using the monokey fitting
- Adjustable clutch/brake levers as the new ones have more adjustment
- RE Back rest (which comes with the top of range variant)

There are many ootions for accessories and luggage, ebay and amazon plus hitchcocks. India has a bunch of makers, even Germany has gotten in on the SM650. As far as issues w new model... none on mine 3500km in. Did my own valve adjuatment, chain maint, oil and filter change.. easy peasy. Fantastic bike for laid back cruising.

I wonder if a springer seat will resolve the issue of the harsh rear suspension?
