Okay everyone. It's time for me to swap out my brake pads. While I've gotten used to the stock ones that came on the bike, I have to admit that I would like something that performs better, with better bite. The stock brakes feel less than enthusiastic about helping me stop the way I would like.

It's probably no surprise, but I'm not up to speed on all the different brake pad materials and whatnot, but I've heard a lot of talk about sintered pads and their effectiveness.

Does anyone have any thoughts of opinions on which sintered pads I should go with?

EBC HH are a very noticeable improvement over stock.  Doesn't turn the brakes into dual monoblock 4-piston radials, but definitely an improvement.

They're on Amazon too, and I think a bit cheaper.

Thanks for this. The first link is for the front, so I'm assuming the second link is for the rear, but it doesn't say. Are they same front and rear?

Not the same. Another poster wrote you can find them on Amazon for less. The 2 different part numbers should be apparent in the links.

I put sintered pads on my last Triumph - BIG difference! I suspect RE fit budget organic pads as standard - adequate for the job, but there is a lot of room for improvement.

Running Brembo pads, and they are better than the stock units. EBC or Brembo will be money well spent. Everyone probably knows this, but I didn't. When running the Brembos in a got home and cleaned the disc up, looked dirty🙄  Anyway it's recommended you don't do that. It is resin from the new pads which help condition them and the disc. After cleaning it all off, the brakes lost the good feel and needed to ran in again.

Good to know, thanks! I'll be ordering the brakes in a couple days, but from the sound of it, the ones linked above are the way to go. I did find them on Amazon for a tad cheaper, but also very quick delivery.

Quite important to get the EBC part numbers right, otherwise you'll end up with scooter pads...
