Dude, Harley bros get mad when you pass their $70,000 custom Dyna CVO on your slow ass RE Interceptor. I’ve gotten used to them pretending other makes don’t exist and them not doing the wave but this dude followed me into the gas station 10 miles down the road and threatened me with his get back whip….

I always wave to other motorcycles when I ride, and I find 90% of Harley riders just look the other way. My guess, is that they are better than me, as well as smarter and better looking, with far superior manhood between the legs than I.

When I rode a Honda, it was even worse...

I wish I could like some of the posts in this thread.

This is the first time I’ve ever had one follow me. First time in 20 years I felt like I might be getting into a scuffle. First time in 20 years I wasn’t able to avoid trouble and I avoid trouble like the plague…. Don’t get me wrong…. I’m not afraid to get into a scuffle, I just don’t want to. I don’t like guns either but I still carry one…..

I dislike guns as well, which is why I carry 24/7 and have more than 50 in my safe. The more I have, the fewer will be out there attacking innocent people.

My mate back in UK has had a Harley for 30-odd years. In that respect, I just don't understand him. Many years ago, he took his son - then about 10 - for a 50 mile ride. During the ride, the boy was uncomfortable. He told his dad his arse was bleeding .... Now in his 30s, the son has NEVER been on that bike again.

Maybe the problem with many Harley riders is similar to the boy's but they daren't admit it. Maybe they're too busy clenching their arses to wave to you.

Seems less of a problem here in dear old Blighted, sorry Blighty. Most Harley riders seem happy to return the wave here but perhaps that's down to failing eyesight and mistaking my chrome Interceptor for a Sporty! The only marque that come across as rude to me are Brough Superior, yes there's not many about and probably the riders aren't generally out on bikes, preferring their Lear Jet but I've waived at a few and not one of the miserable barstages has waved back.

Over the years, I have rented Harley bikes for multiple days in five different states.
The question one needs to ask is; Do Harley riders give each other "the wave"?

I’ve owned several Harleys over the years but I will never own another. But yes Harley bros wave to other Harley bros

Apparently there are regional differences, but around here most Harley riders wave to other riders, regardless of the make.

Here in Southern Arizona, they wouldn't wave if I had 20 dollar bills glued to my tits.

Under those circumstances, not sure I’d wave either….

I hired a Harley once with a bunch of guys in Orlando to ride to Cape Canaveral and back.  Hilarious.  Heavy, noisy, slow and uncomfortable at highway speeds (bolt upright turns you into a windsock) and grinding the floor boards at what must have been 20° of lean if that. The girls at some random bar we stopped at thought we were cool because we rode Harleys.  So sad.

Usually, its the people who no nothing about motorcycles that think Harleys are really cool.  They have one of the most successful marketing teams the world has ever seen.

After a conference in Phoenix, AZ, I rented a Road King for a day trip to Sedona and local area.
The ride was great, with useful windshield and saddle bags, but the Harley was disappointing in two ways.
The floorboards were so far forward that I could barely use the rear edges for footpegs, and I have long legs.
When leaned over in a curve, I had to watch for bumps and dips in the road, as they would set off a wobble, the severity depending on how much faster than 80 mph I was going. If that sounds like an extreme condition, It's quite common in western states.
Still, I never make fun of other people's bikes, not even Harleys. Disclaimer: my own brother rides one.

I feel disappointed - I was imagining a proper bull-whip, Indiana Jones style, but they are more like a My Little Pony accessory.

Harley bros fighting with these things would resemble the Monty Python fish dance.

Couple of years ago a guy on Another Forum was grizzling about the Harley wave thing. He's a nice guy but he rides a Harley. He was feeling a bit butthurt that no one waves to him 😂. So sad but waddya expect. No one here waves to Harleys. Now they have a sad on.
