A trifecta of Pre-Unit Bullets: a Red Deluxe 500, a Green Standard 500, and a Black ES 350.

And now it’s about as official as it’s going to get before the formal announcement, per Siddhartha Lal’s Instagram feed as reported by ADV Rider https://www.advrider.com/royal-enfields-big-boss-tips-new-himalayan-450/

Probably be awhile before we see the 450 Scram - but the 411 isn’t too far away, US and Canada pricing announced. $5099 US MSRP, commensurately more in loonies - $6749. https://www.advrider.com/royal-enfield-scram-411-should-be-here-very-soon/

The 450 is light years more appealing to me than the warmed over Mahindra Faux-Star. As a clean-sheet design you are looking at possibly 35 HP and a 6 speed box, and it's highly likely it's running a counter balancer just like the new 350. I'm guessing maybe 375-400 pounds dry weight as there are plastics and modern electronics aboard. Some suitable street-oriented rubber, some soft luggage and you have an adventurer tourer you could actually pick up after a tip-over.

R.E. has a long history of multi-use engines, I can't see this as remaining as a pure dual-purpose powerplant. A dedicated street version could shed even a bit more weight and easily hit the "Ton". Maybe an affordable "Hayabusa" for Mumbai's sport riders? If it's relatively light it already has plenty of brakes, a smaller diameter "Scram" front wheel would amplify that.

I’d say a 450 Scram would be a no-brainer - a new take on the old, old idea of a motorcycle that can do everything, a jack of all trades as it were.

S650 - looks like we were late to the game!  :o ;D  The Indian press were all over it, I sure didn't look before. Apparently both versions will be offered at about the same time, sorta like the V-Strom & SV650 Bazookie was. I'll bet they'll be priced around $5.5 - $6K USD, about $1K under a KLR 650.

EXCLUSIVE: Royal Enfield Scram 450 Spotted Testing In India

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHEGtm5x-OE
BikeDekho; Royal Enfield had tongues wagging from the very moment it brought out the Scram 411, which is essentially a less extreme iteration of the Himalayan off-roader. However, while it took RE almost six years in the first case, this time around, the brand seems to be repeating the feat – bringing a road-focused version of the much-anticipated Himalayan 450 – almost immediately after the bike is launched! In this video, we give you a clearer estimate of the Scram 450 (at least till we know the official name), how it differs from the HImalayan, and how it’ll fare against its rivals

2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will get ‘Ride Modes’; 09/04/2022

Sources report that the new Himalayan 450 is likely to come with ride-by-wire technology. The motorcycle is also likely to come with multiple riding modes, a vertically-stacked instruments cluster and OFF-Road ABS. The multiple riding modes on the new Himalayan 450 are likely to be Rain, Road and OFF-Road. The riding modes are also likely to be integrated with the ABS of the motorcycle, offering better control of the motorcycle.

The instruments console is also likely to be new and is likely to display a wide range of information. However, the display is not likely to be a full-colour TFT console like the 390 Adventure to keep the cost in check. The brand is also likely to include LED lights on the Himlayan 450 to keep up with the competition. The motorcycle is also likely to come with a large 20-litre fuel tank.

2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 – Technical Details
Powering the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is likely to be a 450cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor. The engine is likely to produce around 40 Hp of power, and the fairly squared-off motor is likely to make a good 45 Nm of twisting power. Speculation is that the Himalayan 450 is likely to come with a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. The brand is likely to house the engine in a steel trellis frame and offer the bike with an upside-down front suspension. The rear suspension unit is likely to be a monoshock, and the 450 is likely to ride on the 21-inch front, and 17-inch rear spoke wheels shod in specially developed CEAT off-road tyres.
A trifecta of Pre-Unit Bullets: a Red Deluxe 500, a Green Standard 500, and a Black ES 350.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Will Rattle KTM and BMW to Their Core; SEP 26, 2022

" the new Himalayan 450 will continue to rival entry-level ADVs like the 390 Adventure, BMW G 310 GS, and the Kawasaki Versys X-300. It’s worth noting that the current Himalayan undercuts all its rivals by a significant chunk, so we can expect the updated bike to still cost less than its rivals even after a price hike. "

Royal Enfield Scram 450 set to follow on from new 411

First up will be the much-anticipated Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, a more powerful and upmarket interpretation of the ADV machine. Promising better off-road capabilities than the standard Himalayan, the 450 is aimed directly at the KTM 390 Adventure.

Expected to go on sale in early-2023, the Himalayan 450 will then be quickly joined by a Scram 450 version judging by these spy shots which show a well-developed prototype undergoing testing in India.
A trifecta of Pre-Unit Bullets: a Red Deluxe 500, a Green Standard 500, and a Black ES 350.
