Title: Gel seat pads
Post by: Gypsyjon on April 03, 2013, 01:33:27 am
Anyone buy one of these things? They have them on eBay for $50.

Just wondering if they are worth it.

TIA

I bought one for my seat. I ordered the Medium K, it fit great. I did have to trim just a little by the front mount . I can ride my bike all day now without getting sore. Money well spent in my opinion.

After Garbone's 2-year-old post, I hit ebay for a "CONFORMAX™ Motorcycle Seat Gel Pad- Medium TR".  It's almost the same as what Jack bought (just an ever-so-slightly different shape) - but we all three installed them on our non-OEM "Lysette" solo seats.

Mine fit without any trimming or seat modification whatsoever, and it took me all of 10 minutes to remove the seat cover, install the pad, and reinstall the cover.  It's completely hidden by the original cover; you literally don't notice it's there... until you hop aboard!

This is the second thing I'm doing to Fiona when I get home in July, second only to installing her new Hagon shocks.

It's a nice, very easy improvement for our Lycette solo seats, whose covers attach with just a few metal clips.  As for ease of installation on a factory C5 seat, I can't say...

I have a Lycett to replace the factory seat-shaped brick.

Does anyone have one for the 2 up seat on a G5?
