At an Alaska dealer. Why so low?
-
'Dunno, can you post the link? At least the rest of us could dream a little.
-
Used? 2009 leftover? The dealer has sold 20 black bikes and the military is stil sitting there? You could just ask the dealer.

What are you doin' up so early on a Sunday for Scotty.? It is 8:30 here on the right coast, it is only 5:30 on your end!

This bike is probably the one on Craigslist for ever, has 30 miles, bought in N.M. and shipped up, but had to sell. I'm in Seattle and checked it out. It was on www.royalenfields.com

Not sleeping much these days for various reasons. It'll pass.

Which dealer is this? I believe there are 2 Alaskan dealers, but can't see either of their inventories online. Would LOVE a Military G5. I wonder if they'd accept a trade-in for an '09 Military?

Question: Are all 2009 Militarys the G5 model?
-
As I understand it, yes. The C5 Military was not released until 1st quarter 2010. I also believe that it replaced the G5, indicating the G5 Military is no longer in the lineup. Give this thread a day or so to get corrected from someone who knows for sure though before you set down any money on bets or hardware....

Not even close. My 2009 Military isn't a G5, it's not even an AVL, it's the original iron barrel. I actually bought it THINKING that it would just naturally be the AVL--this was at a time (albeit relatively recently) when I couldn't tell the difference by looking, and didn't think to ask the dealer because I just assumed that all '09s were AVL.
Wasn't until a while later that I realized it was actually an iron barrel. I'm not sure when the G5's were first released in the U.S., but I really don't think it was in '09.

My G5 was out of the first batch over here and I got it in March of 09.

I ask because I've been looking at several 09 Military REs and there are noticable differences. ???
-
Dave, I believe you could get a 2009 AVL Military and maybe even an Iron Barrel as there was a lot of overlap. If it isn't a G-5, it's not a G-5!!

I'm pretty much set on the G5. ;)
