hello experts, i am importing a RE bullet 350 -1997 from india but the registration doesnt show vin number, it only says engine number and chassis number and these are only 6 digits long. does anyone know if the vin number is located somewhere else? i am in canada and i think we need 17 character VIN to get insured and licensed. looking for some help

The VIN# should be stamped on the side of the front tube where the fork connects to the frame. I'm not sure about Canada, but from what I hear it would be difficult to import a '97 model from India into the US.

the importing is not difficult as long as its 15 year old. no issues. my bike is still in transit so i am trying to get as much info as i can before hitting a panic button. the MTO people here are useless and lazy
