Title: How to mount the headlight "visor"......
Post by: alwscout on December 26, 2007, 11:50:13 pm
I got this along with quite a bit of other foo-foraw for the Bullet for Christmas.

Is it supposed to come with screws?

I'm guessing I just drill two holes and mount it using the holes in the "visor" as guides?

Also, has anyone mounted the one for the speedometer? If so was it an awkward fit? I think I'm going to scrap the 3 little adhesive strips and glue on because they just aren't cutting it.

They are sure gonna look nice though!!!

the headlight visor is supposed to be "sandwiched" between the headlight and the outer bezel; no screws or extra parts needed.

I had to remove the little wire headlight-to-bezel retaining clips. I fitted the visor (known in the UK as a peak) in between the lens and the bezel & then refitted the wire clips. Easy job and looks great. Immediately ages the bike IMHO which was my intension.  ;D

I just tried to do it LSM's way and it took maybe 5 minutes. Looks pretty good I think. Thanks for the help! ;D

Good man Adam!
Neat ain't they?
Careful with the edge of them when cleaning/polishing etc as it can feel a tad sharp!!!!!
