Nice thump and no tappet noise. Wonder how he managed that?

he says it was a custom job and the guy who did it disappeared, He doesn't even know what parts are used, but i just can't help thinking it must be the custom muffler

There's very little tappet noise when starting cold, because the lash is set to zero. As the bike heats up, it grows to .010"-.012" lash from expansion. Then it makes some noise.
We never really want them totally quiet, or it will burn a valve. They are supposed to make noise.

Oh I know that well! Best I can do she sounds like a sewing machine when hot. That was good years ago on my 1978 Mercedes 240D. Never thought I'd have another "Singer" machine.

Small clarification is needed here.
That's Chumma's bike and he made the video. My set up is similar but the exhaust note is distinctly higher. They sound fantastic together.
