Title: water condensation
Post by: donkey on April 09, 2008, 01:43:20 pm
I did the second oil change last weekend. When I turned off the screw, falls water (a cup) from the engine and then the oil. I think there is condensation of water in the engine. It's was happened in the two oil changes since today.
Have either of you  the same problem?  Can you help me? Thanks

Well at least you know it isn't a water leak from the cooling system!!!!

I am getting white mayonaisse residue in my oil as well from too many short runs in this cold UK weather that basically isn't getting the oil hot enough to get rid of the condensation/water vapour.

Just do more regular oil changes etc.

Well, thats true. Mayoneise shit appear too in the oil cap/stick  ::)
Here in Granada, Spain, winters are too cold, and 'cause I was in break-in period, my rides are short (about 30 minutes in city/town roads). My dealer tolds me this condensation dissapear with use and miles.

Longer rides? I find being really cold these days not much fun and as I ride only for pleasure (company car etc) the Bullet is being used less than I would like.
Weather patterns are all over the place here in the UK.
British SuperBike first round snowed off at Brands Hatch on Sunday 6th; Bright hot sunshine Monday 7th (when I'm back at work..... grrrrrrrrr). Weird.

Just to smooth over the metric-US confusion, 1 cup (8 oz) = approx 230 ml
