Title: wiring diagram for a 59 indian chief

Hi. Im looking for a wiring diagram for a 59 chief. It has a 6 volt system and distributor. Can anyone help me?

Just go on the web and look for a wiring diagram for a late model Super Meteor with a distributor. The harness is pretty much the same. I haven't seen a diagram for a Chief.  ERC

If the harness is real crappy Hitchcocks has one #54942360 for about $70.00. Not a bad price. If you figure what you'd have to pay for wire connectors etc. then add your time.  ERC

Thank you. I'm not sure of the # but I did get it from Hitchcocks. It has a lot of extra wires.  Kurt...

I see now why you need a diagram. I used one on my Chief. I think they are more or less universal. Also could be your original harness has been cut or changed. If I remember the one I used had some wiring I didn't use.  Good luck
