I put a couple years on one of these at 18 in the wayback. It was reliable but very wide. I liked it well enough but finally swapped it for a 441 Victim. THAT was a bigger learning experience for me.

As far as dangerous, IMHO the rider is the determining factor. The H1 was crude compared to modern sport machines, but it started every time and would get up and move if you gave it some stick.

This was a better H1 video for my money. Spending 11 minutes whinging about a 50 year old motorcycle's deficiencies seems pointless.
