the duck bill i took off had a very thin slit at the end to breath threw,possibly why theres a thin film of oil round the top fin.

Try splicing the duck bill hose half way along its length, add a one-way/non-return or whatever valve from Henry Price, then lose the actual dick-bill end bit off the pipe.

just befor this i removed a duck bill from the breather tube,how anything could breath through that i dont know.


   The duck bill doesn't breathe IN. It breathes OUT relieving crankcase positive pressure OUT. Then that flap closes when crankcase pressure is negative.

That's how you're able to oil the chain with it. IF you want to.
