Hagon shocks were a very nice rear end improvement on my C5. The US distributer puts together the correct length and springs and used to offer 1 free spring swap if the original set was too firm or soft. I would have no hesitation in trying a set for my interceptor.

Early on I spotted this company from Taiwan. They make a wide range of shocks for Groms to Harleys.
The SHICANE REAR SHOCK sells for about $700 USD. I don't know anyone who has first hand knowledge using them.

The opening page of their website has a informative graphic about what exactly gets adjusted in a fancy shock.
I think Cookie should shed some of his money and try a pair on our behalf.

Right there with you! In my 60s with 29" inseam. I also think reservoirs don't belong on these bikes. I waded through the Hagon website until I got lost and fed up. Can you tell the exact shock/shroud combo you bought? Thanks!

They'll match them to your weight and do all shiny (mine) top shroud black and exposed spring versions, the latter 2 types are lower priced.

Much more secure, smoother and comfortable ride with rear Hagons compared to the clunky OEM shocks. Replacing the green/grey factory slime in the front shock with synthetic ATF helped fix the front end at the same.

I'm okay with the stock shocks also, no preload needed for around town and only the first step up for aggressive riding in the hills

The Hagons are a shock that I have been looking at. They may be equal to or better than the stock shocks, however, I am looking to fit the black / black exposed springs for a more retro look.
Thats it.
The stock shocks work for me. Not expecting YSS, Ohlin or that suspension Cookie put on performance. If I get better performance that will be a plus.

Have seen a few negative reports on tec shocks. Fillingham put YSS on his 650 and rates them highly, he put Hagons on his T120 a while back and rated them highly also. For such a new bike we have quite a choice, if you go to Hagon's website (not the clearest perhaps) there is a phone number and they will make shocks for your weight. OK they may not have a great range of adjustment.
I bought some of their all stainless shrouded shocks for my chrome Interceptor ( I like the 1970 Series 2 look), they made them 20mm shorter (29" inside leg). I wanted them for the looks, I'm in my 60s and pleasantly surprised that a m/c with less power than any I've had in 30 years is so enjoyable. The damping is noticeably better so I have a YSS kit for the front as this is shown up by the Hagons.
I'm sure there are better still but I don't need them, they look great, work well and are inexpensive.

I'm also eyeing these shocks for my Interceptor.
Hagon have a good reputation and I'm sure these will be at least the equal of the stock shocks - certainly an aesthetic improvement (which would be my main goal).

I have +20mm hagons on my GT650, they are more controlled and compliant. Standard we’re fine to a point but these work better when pushing on. Along with 9.0 linear fork springs and 15w oil the bike now handles lovely
