Had a boxing day run through the goldfields with my lad, in balmy 28C weather. Stanley's Hotel in the tiny villiage of Macraes Flat was built in 1885 in exchange for 72 hogshead of beer (1 hogshead = 286 litres), according to the sign at the villiage green.

That's 16' cooler than Perth and I'm in the even hotter hills 😣😣 the Hottest Xmas on Record- time to A/C the workshop 👍 would burn my balls on Mr Cleans Tank😣🤣

As I sit outside with an 8am coffee and an overnight  low of 30' it's fine 👍 but it builds and if the aptly named "Fremantle Dr" (the relief giving breeze) doesn't come in well... 40's again for a round a week. Perth isn't the Hottest, it's also a Dry heat, and not whinging as, especially through the pandemic, I can't think if anywhere better to live 10mths of the year 😀 however seasons would be nice, shit after 31yrs here I could cope with scraping ICE of a windscreen🤣. Classic as you get older you cope with extremes less well. What's it like, well the fact the Red Wine lives in the fridge and eveything outside burns to the  touch - love to read but for some reason not indoors 🤔 and not a big T.V person, so yup A/C in the workshop as Tipo due to arrive late Q1 and also Healey back from painting- LIFE'S GOOD & retirement UNDERATED👍😊 but itching for a ride or a run rootless 🤔

Love those marina shots especially ...  I just transplanted humble self and wife just above a marina, which are all over my local area. Cant afford that mega$ yacht ,  but I do have a cool transplanted windscreen and hand guards from a bike now in serious dry dock in my garage.  Heavy sad sigh.

You never seem to have the time to do it right,  but you'll ALWAYS have time to do it over.

Not at all, althought it could be! This place is 20 km from my place, not even 50 km from Paris !
But I'd love to live in Perigord!
