Hi, I dont understand which battery's are ok for my Bullet 500 B5. In some posts here someone recommends a battery, when I look on the web site it says it's no good for my bike, I'm lost in a world of battery's. I would want to upgrade to something that's going to last a bit longer :-[ :-[ :-[

I have a small lithium battery installed in my 2011 Bullet. It is about half the size of the original battery. I wrapped it with an old inner tube to support and cushion the battery. While the battery is not designed for any Royal Enfield, after almost 10 years it is still ticking and starts the engine with authority. :)

It's a simple match. First, it's a 12 volt. Match the amp hours. Then match the location of the poles.
Measure the width, length and height. Smaller is ok. Larger, no.
That's it.
something like a 12v 14 amp hour.

A good L-ion will give you plenty of power and the size issue won't exist!

I got mine from this company, arrived next day at a very good price. If you scroll down you can select the size you need together with battery polarity. You will get several options to fit your bike.

I hate that standard battery it’s a pig to get off the rubber straps are no better especially when you want to charge, l got so peed off with it l ground a couple of nails so they push fit on the terminals and case and charge on crocks easy that way better than sodding around with those straps and bad access the standard battery is exide.

True. It makes me want to switch to velcro straps, instead of the loop and hook deal.

I also changed to a lithium battery. Its much smaller and lighter and still gives more power.
Lithium also give more cranking current which helps starting.
Not sure which one fits nicely into the standard battery box though because i moved my battery into the centre and changed the housing at the same time.
