I modified the Scram 411 to look similar to svart 401 and it looks good.

-Lowered Front suspension
-Removed Tail Mudguard
-Added tire hugger from svart 401
-Added tires from svart 401
-Change the color of the seat
-Change the side bumpers

@ #4: Over here they seem to run $5.400 - $5.600 new and $4K - $5K second hand with 500 - 3500 miles, still a good deal for a machine that is nearly 100 pounds lighter, 20 HP stronger and only about $200 - $400 more by new list prices. Looks to me like RE had best start knocking off $1,000 or so off the Scram & Himalayan prices if the Husqvarna is so close in price. There HAS to be some wiggle room if you have to give up 20 HP and add 100 pounds.

The Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 is suggested at $5,400 to $5,800. In India the Himalayan is about ₹225,000.00 or approximately $2,800. In the USA that same machine is $5,300. $1,000 mark-up makes that $3,800, a good deal. A $1,500 grift puts you at $4,300, still about $1,000 - $1,500 shy of the much lighter and much more powerful Husqvarna. But at the full pop of $5,300 Royal Enfield expects you to give up 20 Hp and 100 pounds for about $500 or less.

If the RETAIL in India is $2,800, how can you justify a $2,500 mark-up for a machine 100 pounds heavier and 20 HP shy of its nearest competitor? It's a new "clean-sheet" design, not a "certified new dinosaur" like the Pre-Units were. A new current design has to offer either more performance or greater affordability and still "meet requirements". The Himi and Scram are great bikes for about $4,000 - $4,500 retail. That should give everyone an acceptable markup and still cover shipping. For about 20% more ($1,000) Husky offers less weight and more HP, a reasonable trade off.
