Many of my friends are constantly riding classic motorcycles on fuel with the addition of 2t oil. Let's say I first heard it from a Triumph expert in France. I don't do it except in case of long standing

I've occasionally used some Castrol R in the petrol of my Velocettes.  Made no difference for me but smelled good to those following. ;D
Past rides
1948 Velocette LE "Noddy bike"
1957 Triumph Tiger Cub 200cc
1966 Triumph T100 500cc
1960 BSA A10 650cc
1957 Velocette MAC 350
1947 Velocette KSS MKII 350cc
1955 Velocette MSS 500cc
2011 Honda Deauville 700cc
2011 Honda CBF1000 1000cc
Present: RE Classic 350, Velocette MAC 350 and MSS 500

Referring back to earlier posts, there is a video on utube ,by the Bingley something or other, cleaning out white grease from the relays under the side cover of his RE Classic 350 to avoid an occasional misfire that some riders had experienced.

Getting back to my original topic, I use 87 octane ethanol free fuel. I watched Bingley video and have cleaned all relays of excessive grease. I have replaced all relays with new relays from Hitchcocks, all to no avail. Spark plug wire is tight. Sidestand does not jiggle around. Still looking for answers. I look forward to suggestions!!  Thanks in advance!!
