The market place for it will be in the paradise city where the grass is green and the girls are pretty.

They could go the hybrid route, where the engine provides basic propulsion and the battery side accommodates short duration high intensity output. A fuel efficient 250cc engine could push a 400 pound machine down the road at 45-60 MPH on the flats, the electric side could preclude the need for a transmission. Regenerative braking already exists, dynamic braking already exists. The mechanical brakes could be minimal saving unsprung weight. Use the tech we already have to provide fun 150 MPG transport. A 6L-10L fuel tank would be sufficient, range becomes irrelevant.

Kawasaki, however, is downsizing the old-school, gas-powered part of the bike and adding a relatively small electric drive system to fit it all in, resulting in a machine with conventional levels of performance and range but improved emissions and, perhaps most significantly, the ability to operate in zero-emission mode for short distances.

What's there not to like about this bike? I think it's pretty sweet as it is.

It's apparent RE is an India company those days, the Swedish superior Hyena should work well for them, can keep cannibalising themselves.  ::)

"...Spain-based Stark Future SL..." Gibberish. Where exactly does Sweden come into play here? "Hyenas" in Sweden, not wolves, wolverines, ermine, otter or bears?

They had to relocate, better for the marketing. Stark Varg = Strong Wolf in Swedish, probably Greta invested into it from the EU budget that the EU ripped off somewhere. The EU has big tits anyway, supposedly it finances the weapon deliveries to U-kraine, in case anyone asks why the super cancelor of Germany doesn't deliver tanks there.

@ 8 & 9: Thanks for the background on Stark Varg - makes a lot more sense now. I still have issues with a bike that becomes a lump after 25-40 miles offroad. I've pushed enough!  :o ;D

This article claims 80,000 units a month in India, so about 2 months sales should be the break even point. Wowzers...
