Perhaps the SR2 didn't look SPORTY enough? THE SR range was also fitted to stationary engines, boat engines, rotovators, tractors, lawn mowers, etc, none of that lot are terribly rock'n'roll, are they? You can add Matchless and AJS G3/G80/16S/18S motorcycles too. Form won over functionality, I suspect.
