About a week ago I placed an order with a dealer for a 2014 G5, a day or so ago the dealers called to inform me that the G5 had been discontinued. To buy a 2014 G5 one must locate a dealer with one in their current inventory.
I am very disappointed.
-
Where are you located? Bet we can find one.
-
Sorry to hear that.
Have you considered a B5? They come in Black and Forest Green.
I don't care much for the "C" sires bikes, but a lot of people love em.

There is a 2014 or 2013 new G5 Chrome at Strokers Dallas. They will ship a bike anywhere in the continental US for about 700 bucks. Its just like this one http://www.enfieldmotorcycles.com/G5Deluxe/
Its going for something like $5399.00
Here is the link to the exact bike. I have a G5 and I love it.

I live in south central Tennessee. I have checked with several dealers within 350 miles without any luck on a 2014, I did find a new 2010 in Alabama not much of a savings over the price of a 2014. I have found several C5 Chrome bikes that are 2012 and 2013. The B5 will also be considered.
Decision mode for the moment

Thanks for the tip on Strokers Dallas. I will contact them tomorrow in addition to Royal Enfield of Fort Worth that has a 2014 G5.

We're all on the same team here Grant. :) You can find anything on this forum from bikes to answers to friends! Welcome to the forum! :D

The Classic 500 aka C5 is a great motorcycle. I just like the larger frame and standard two up seat of the G5. I do see that they are only making the G5 in the deluxe model with chrome tank and fenders.
Get any Royal Enfield and you will get noticed wherever you go. My Royal Enfield G5 has frequently received more notice than motorcycles that cost 3 times as much.

+1 to that!
I have a 07 Iron Barrel and everywhere I go I get so much attention, they all look like stunned looks when I say it's 2007 and cost me 5K!

I prefer the B5 because it looks more vintage. The C5's are beautiful bikes, but they do not look like British bikes from the '50s to me. I got mine in green, which looks very close to British racing green.

The Daily Rider in Burlington, VT had a new 2012 G5 Deluxe chrome earlier this month, as well as a a 2012 C5 military, both priced at $4600 OTD (except tax).

I own a pre-owned 2010 G5 Deluxe, & love the 19" wheels & exceptional finish details. If they discontinue it, it may hold its value better than the others. I'd encourage you to find a DEAL on a leftover new one. Even with the extra shipping, you won't be disappointed.
You could also Check Storm Seller Ural & Enfield in fort worth area, Nice people.

I have located a new left over G5 at a reasonable price.
I do have one small problem, I will need a refund of my $1000 deposit before being able to purchase the left over bike, the salesman I gave a deposit to is not returning my calls forcing me to contact the dealership owner to get a refund of my deposit. One should not have a problem such as this as they cannot provide me with a 2014 G5 because production has ceased. The refund should be automatic.
-
Hey Grant, Time to call your Credit card company & let them know about your problem. It will certainly clear up.
Good luck my friend.

Grant, what state are you in? It is not uncommon for motor vehicle dealers to execute purchase contracts in the guise of a deposit. Did you sign any paperwork and, if so, did it specify the exact model being purchased and include any terms on refunds? Many states have adopted UCC laws that address unfulfilled orders. Without explicit refund terms, though, deposits can be difficult to recover if the dealer decides to be stubborn. Credit cards offer more options for recovery than cash, for sure.

Think you'll really like that G5 Deluxe. I have a 2011 version and it is really a show stopper where ever I go. Put a sidecar on it and you'll really get attention.
