I find myself reluctantly having to hang up the helmet and send the sidecar rig to a new home. Posting is here on Craigslist in Austin, Texas: http://austin.craigslist.org/mcy/4295498286.html (http://austin.craigslist.org/mcy/4295498286.html)

Edit on 2/9/2014: Dropped the price and made the jackets and helmets part of the whole deal. Updated the posts on craigslist and cycletrader.

Great looking setup, exactly how I would have done it. Too bad I don't have the bread to buy it. :(
-
I've really enjoyed riding it. Just changes in circumstances and family obligations mean I won't have many opportunities to keep enjoying it.
Also not in the listing: the sidecar is equipped with a brake linked to the cycle's rear brake. This lets the rig stop much straighter.

It figures, I accept that I have to sell the bike and get it posted on craigslist and CycleTrader in time for winter to return with a vengeance. The "high" today in Austin, Texas was 46 degrees F sometime around 6:00 this morning. It is now down to freezing: 31.7 degrees F. ::)

Bump for the update in the original posting.
-
Dropped the asking price to $9500 (obo) for the complete package: sidecar rig, spares, jackets and helmets.
-
Bump to renew awareness.
Also dropped the price another step to $9250 (obo).
-
Did a bigger price drop this time. Beginning to really need to have it sell. New price is $8750 (obo).
-
Another bump for the post to get attention.
So far the only interest has been a couple of wishy-washy tire kickers from the craigslist and CycleTrader postings.
-
Very nice rig.

Ended up getting wholesale from a local used bike dealer. :(
At least they came and picked it up directly. No more hassling with "tire kickers" or private buyers offering below wholesale.
