Title: First sunny hot day north of the 49th
Post by: drbvac on July 11, 2011, 08:11:20 pm
Went for a ride - came home and hooked up battery tender for the night - like to keep it really fully charged. Got some of the heavy door edge plastic that you heat up and backed the battery cover with it so I dont cut the wires and my gas line - it looked good so took some new pics of it dropped and named BDB 1952  ;D

Guess I can``t get it much lower without using 13 wheels

Very nice one, doc. Especially the last, yellowish photo, made in 1957  ;D
She´s a little lower with these Hagons, isn´t she? How does it work with them?

That's a good idea about the door edge guard around the battery cover, think I will do the same.   The bike looks good lowered like that.

Low and Slow, that is the tempo! Hey Doc, looking for material to edge my battery box too. Currently have the top of a pack of smokes between the box and the fuel line!  ;)

The door edge is easy to use - warm it up - cut it - stick on.
Similar to this - should be at any autozone etc. Great to go on - stays on -

The pedestrian slicer is the metal blank from India - and took it to a local sign maker who did the decal up with my initials and birth year - little touchy putting it on - holes in fender and lifting fender to bolt it on - I also placed double sided installation tape to help hold it on and protect the paint , although there is no way it will ever fall off !

Hagons from http://www.davequinnmotorcycles.com/   - he will customize the spring rate and return to your riding style and weight  Probably same or better ride BUT it dropped the bike 2 1/2 "
