I'm curious if it's possible to completely eliminate the passenger seat on a Meteor 350 Fireball? I believe it will allow for a much cleaner appearance.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

It will require a little bit of modification and a different rear fender, but is doable. There is a bit of a structural bump in the fender and wiring under the rear seat.

Yes, I stumbled onto a video of the rear seat removed, showing the frame and wiring you mention. I wish it had a cleaner design, because eliminating the rear seat would require too much rework. :(
Thank you.

Same. When swapping out seats i was a bit disappointed to see it not very "clean" under the pillion. I have seen some aftermarket luggage plates that cover it with some taste (Bandidos Pitstop in India, maybe? Memory fails...)

You might be referring to the Vermilion Solo Expedition Rack.

I'm on the fence about its appearance and I would be concerned with the long term exposure of the wires.

In my opinion, this one would better fit to the vintage look of the Meteor:

Probably the forthcoming 'Classic' version of the 350 Meteor will have the look that you want as it will leave the factory with no rear seat fitted.
Past: CB125-T2, T500, GT500, Speed Triple, 955i Daytona. Now: Royal Enfield Bullet Trials 500

I hope someone figures out how to remove the rear seat, because I'd like to remove mine. I don't foresee using it. Besides, I think that the Meteor would look even MORE BADASS with the solo seat!

Yes, I read in a different thread that the new Classic 350 will arrive in 2022, so I'll impatiently wait. ;D

Man, that is SWEET! I could go for that. As of right now, I have the rear luggage rack I got from Hitchcock's, and I used the tail pack with it. The tail pack would fit that rack. I would definitely like to remove the rear seat though, as I think the bike looks better without it. Besides, I won't be bringing any passengers with me... ;)
