Info buried in the article.

And the article mentions a multi fuel engine in development for adventure touring.

Thanks Scott. Yeah, that's where I read it.
Kick-starter - If I were 10 years younger I might pine for such an ancient piece of history.
My right knee ain't what it used to be, if you know what I mean.

Pretty sure if I'd have known it was coming I probably wouldn't wait for the new model year, either... ;)

I have the G5 Deluxe and find the kickstart very usefull, especialy when my starter solonoid stopped working and it was about six weeks before my dealer had one in stock,I use the electric start first off, then kick start for the rest of the day,I also soft kick with the ignition off, before electric ,start after long periods of not using the bike.

Yup, that'd be handy. My starter solenoid almost stranded me too.

According to a RE official, all the emails sent by people wanting a kick start on C5 made RE changed their mind and you will have a kick start model within this year. Keep sending the emails.

Kick starters have many advantages: you can conserve your battery if needed, turn the engine on a regular basis in wintertime to distribute the oil, pump out oil when changing it, prepare first takeoff after a long time standing by turning without ignition and so on...
But the smart thing about getting a kick for every bike is lean production. No different parts to manufacture anymore - one size fits all. Why bothering with no-kick-types when everyone want´s one anyway?
Same thing happening to the new Bullets. Their appearance is much closer to the domestic bikes, therefore the number of identical parts is likely to rise.
Nice to see that the Indians, despite their lunacy of still building Bullets (which most of us find adorable), don´t forget about basic economical principles that will keep things going.

Hi y,all, wonder if it will go past the 20 tooth gearbox sprocket?
Cheers, Shappers.
