after yesterdays ride , where I toasted the exhaust header gasket.. I decided to put 2 in and try to avoid the paste or silicon for sealing.. I've used both and by far.. the silicon is much harder to clean out than the paste.
but I digress........ ::)
just had to you know.. uh.. like start up the engine with just the straight pipe that has had the reducer removed..
;D
MaN.. did it sound preTTy.. and did I say LOUD.. :P wish I could have left the muffler off.. But I tell you what.. I think it was louder than my wife's Harley..
nOw I have the urge to get a new exhaust system :P
ah but which one? maybe I will just run straight exhaust till I decide 8)

I just bought one of those supper cheap JC Whitney jobs.. Replaced my rattley indian jobber.. $29

Its small and went on pretty easy. Its made of pretty good metal and the chrome is nice. Pretty darn loud, but better than a straight pipe.. No really baffle , just a narrow tube with some packing in it.

In Kentucky you could probably find a Blue Max with a 1 3/4" inlet and make your self a dandy set-up. I was going to do that on wifeys' Electra but those mufflers are illegal here. Will.

The clamp that from JC Whitney I bought with the pipe would not compress it enough for a snug fit so I used the other type... not that pretty..

Trying to find you a link Scotty, hopefully they haven't gone out of business. Had them on a KZ 750 chopper I had when I lived in Elizabethtown, you could really hear that bike coming. Let me do some more checking after work tonight. Will.
