Greetings Enfieldistas,

Based on inquiries I've received regarding the 3D-printed Beeline Moto mount for the Enfield twins I posted a few weeks ago, and some observations from riding with it, I have completed a revised version that incorporates the following changes:

  • Prints without support on an FDM printer. This will make it a lot easier to go from printer to useable part without doing as much post-processing.
  • 5mm closer to the existing console, making it marginally easier to turn on and off the Beeline with a windscreen (I have the short OEM windscreen; I can't speak to how well it plays with anything else).
  • An alternative version for those who are put off by the need to add a heat-set insert.
I also think it looks a bit nicer.

Details, files, and instructions are available on Github. Let me know if you have questions or feedback.

The link works for me, though there is no denying this forum software confounds me.

And this might make me bite the bullet on a Beeline.

Ok, who can I pay to print one of these for me. Please don't say "Shapeways".  ;D

If anyone in the UK / europe wants one I work for a company called 3DPrint-uk.co.uk that can print them using selective laser sintering and can dye and polish.

@Cube

Very impressive work and a very nice solution.
Thank you very much for making your efforts freely available too.

My Beeline is currently mounted between the clamps of my handle bars (see below) but I think your solution is more elegant and easier to eye ball too.

Thanks again.

Toontje, what is the green light below the Beeline?

Interesting! Did you drill a hole in the finished print or put a hole in the model before you sent it to the printer? It integrates very nicely in the design.

Interesting. In the State of Texas speed cameras are illegal.

I drilled a hole in the finished product. If you zoom in on the hole you can see that I didn't have a 12mm drill bit. I wiggled a 10mm drill bit around until the light came through.
