over here in the UK.
some members are claiming that RE have put prices up.
the Fireball now cost the same as supernova.
if thats the case the the supernova  will now cost a round £4300 or there about.
even though it still cheap but if it creeps up to five grand then this will hit the sales .
to be honest I've not seen any evident of this.
so maybe some of the dealers are getting greedy?

Same here in Germany. Prices remained the same for the bikes already on the stock but got put up 200€ for each model delivered after October. There is a worldwide issue with shortage on containers and other stuff which is affecting the costs overall. It‘s affecting other manufacturers too

Count your blessings you're not buying a Meteor 350 in Indonesia, where my Supernova Brown cost the equivalent of over GBP 6,100, due to luxury taxes on any bike over 250cc not manufactured inside the country, and monopolistic dealer profit as there is only one exclusive RE dealer for a country of nearly 275 million people. Oh, and the worst part is that Royal Enfield sells the bikes as 'on the road' without mentioning that registration takes over four months, at a minimum, so they get to keep your money and you get a beautiful lump of steel gathering dust in your garage that you can't legally drive for at least four months. At the very least, they should advise how to deal with a new bike, fully oiled, that can't be ridden for such a length of time (do you start it up and run it periodically, just let it sit, or what?) but, no, that is obviously asking too much, as we get no such support from Royal Enfield. A total embarrassment for Siddhartha Lal and the brand. You all have it better, much better, wherever you are and whatever price you are paying. Royal Enfield Indonesia is a joke.

As a follow up, if anyone knows Siddhartha Lal, the CEO of Royal Enfield, or how to contact him, I'd be grateful if this woeful situation can be brought to his attention. Cheers

I don't know S Lal personally, but Mr Google definitely does.
Never underestimate the value of improved combustion efficiency and reducing parasitic engine and rolling chassis losses.

Didn't it start off from £3499 for the Fireball? Memory hazy and it wasn't that long ago.

No I've not searched to remind myself lol.

£3499 +£250 on the road. As I look today, it's £3879 including otr price so it has gone up a tad.

The Himalayan was dirt cheap when that came out and has risen in price too.

Apologies for not knowing, but are have you bought one or thinking of it?

I liked it a lot when I test rode one.

Could at least some of the price rise be due to shipping costs, I understand that the cost of a shipping container has increased by 400%

Wouldn't that affect the OTD price though? The $4,399 price doesn't include shipping costs. That said, the cost of fuel, energy, etc. has gone up, so that would increase manufacturing costs; those increased manufacturing costs would be reflected in the price.

There are lots of "excuses" for the price of everything going up these days of ongoing Covid. It is what it is, for whatever reason.

not all bikes are going up in prices.
it seem to me the most popular ones are which in this case the meteor.
to me beside being a canny little bike, the price is more favourable to most.
but there will come a time if the prices continue to rise ,folks will just turn away from them.
you only have to look at Yamaha a few years ago.
their prices hit the roof and sales took a nose dive.
I can't remember the exact figure but for argument sake.
price for the FZS800 £10,500 .Yamaha soon realise the price was to high for most and sales fell.
by reducing the price down £8000 they started to sell until punters stop buying due to the 800 gobbling juice.
most were only getting 35/40 mpg and with having a small tank.........

I've just checked where I bought my Fireball from and the prices are unchanged Fireball £3629 and Supernova £3789.  Of course it could just be individual dealers increasing their prices.

I realize this thread is a month old but as an update my dealer here in the US has 2022 INT & Continental GT 650's, Himalayan's and Meteor 350's in stock now and Meteor prices have increased in the US by $200.00 per bike. This was announced in a few bike publications a month or so ago. OTOH the dealer also had a couple '21 Himalayans marked down to $4500.00 no doubt a RENA incentive.
