Count your blessings you're not buying a Meteor 350 in Indonesia, where my Supernova Brown cost the equivalent of over GBP 6,100, due to luxury taxes on any bike over 250cc not manufactured inside the country, and monopolistic dealer profit as there is only one exclusive RE dealer for a country of nearly 275 million people. Oh, and the worst part is that Royal Enfield sells the bikes as 'on the road' without mentioning that registration takes over four months, at a minimum, so they get to keep your money and you get a beautiful lump of steel gathering dust in your garage that you can't legally drive for at least four months. At the very least, they should advise how to deal with a new bike, fully oiled, that can't be ridden for such a length of time (do you start it up and run it periodically, just let it sit, or what?) but, no, that is obviously asking too much, as we get no such support from Royal Enfield. A total embarrassment for Siddhartha Lal and the brand. You all have it better, much better, wherever you are and whatever price you are paying. Royal Enfield Indonesia is a joke.
