Just out of curiosity, I checked out Scuderia West, San Francisco's RE dealer's website and while they had nice color pictures and specifications of every motorcycle that RE imports into North America, including in more colors than I even knew existed, there was not a hint which bikes were available in their inventory, nor was any mention of price. Also, there was no indication or mention of their transportation, setup, or other random fees that might impact the purchase price.
Apparently, they want you to contact them and they will feel you out to see what they can squeeze out of a potential customer when making a sale. Plus, of course, there is no way to use the internet to comparison shop. That is much different than SF Moto, the Honda/Kawasaki/Suzuki/Zero dealer just a few blocks away from Scuderia West. They provide the price and lots of photos of each of each of their motorcycles in their inventory, both new and used, on their website. Considering the Scuderia is the only dealer anywhere near SF, who are they competing with that they need to make sure that the cost, even the MSRP, of any of their vehicles will be a surprise to a customer? As a potential customer, it sure doesn't give me a warm feeling about checking out the Meteor, or any other RE model, at that dealership.
