Nice ! Did you install them yourself? Which is really asking how much do they weigh, if you know.

I installed them myself but did not weigh them
It’s a significant weight difference though

Can anyone tell me the actual weight of the supplied mufflers,  I have seen  numbers between 10kg and 18kg (18 sounds high). Maybe I need to take mine off and weigh them!

The stock mufflers are surprisingly heavy, I didn't weigh them when I took them off but there is a really significant difference between the stock and the Zard polished SS cans that I now have fitted. Incidentally I've removed the db reducers on my cans and they also sound 'characterful' to say the least :)

Were you able to purchase direct from S&S or did you have to purchase through a dealer? The price you paid is significantly less than I have seen elsewhere.

The stock exhausts weigh close  to 11kg in total. I replaced mine with an indian brand Gurswak which have been very good and weigh about half of the original exhausts.

Another for the S&S!  Running without the decibel reducers at the moment, and they seem just the right amount of loud, with an amazing sound!

I don't remember the exact weights, but I did weigh them and the stock when replacing and it really was almost exactly half the weight for the S&S mufflers.

The stock silencers weigh a ton.  The AEW silencers I had on my Interceptor weighed about half what the stock silencers did.  The Ppwerage silencers I have on it now are a bit heavier than the AEW but they are far better quality (all stainless) and look much better.

Why are all these exhausts so cheap in India? They are over 3x the cost in the UK. Joke.

You are totally right but I think in UK or Europe they are so expensive because of the „Stamp“ on it.
May they don’t need a certification in India and in UK / Europe there’s nothing without certification etc.
I’m looking for a after market exhaust system as well but the one I like is about 1130,- Euro  :(

That's only the 2 silencers, isn't it?. The whole thing including head pipes is closer to 18kg ;) Changed the entire exhaust including head pipes on my bike for the BS Performance exhaust. Saved me more than 12kg overall.

Anyone compared S&S with AEW? I am debating between the two - the only down side for the AEW is that they come from India, and not sure when I will actually receive it based on how slow the international mail deliveries has been...

Chances are you could stick a tomato soup can  for a silencer on a bit of water pipe and use it as an exhaust in a remote Punjabi or Bengali village and still get the bike registered, assuming you even bothered but I would not try it in Bundesrepublik Deutschland or even Boris' New Britain.

The AEW leaves that ugly joint between the head pipe and silencer exposed along with the stock little heat shield bracket, and the S&S has a built-in heat shield that covers it. The Powerage silencers are every bit as good as the S&S and at half the price, all stainless as well, and also have a neat built-in heat shield to cover that joint ... but no catalytic converter.  https://www.flybhp.com/powerage-chrome-slipon-twin-exhaust-for-royal-enfield-interceptor-650-continental-gt-650.html

To be fair I think AEW do a version that covers the ugly joint as well.

I have just fitted a pair of silencers from ebay. They cost 69 pounds and fit perfectly. The sound is loud with the baffles in. I dare not take them out. For 69 pounds they are a bargain. I don't know how long they will last but for the price I can't complain. Another guy fitted them on YouTube. He has an Indian girlfriend. Winner.
