Welcome aboard, 'Old Can Ride'!  I'm sure you're gonna adore that 650. I've yet to hear anything bad about the breed.
So badass my Enfield's actually illegal  in India. Yet it squeaks by here in Virginia.

Well of course they (we) can, and sometimes show the whippersnappers a thing or two while doing it  ;)

Speaking of old guys riding. I've been looking for a TV commercial from the 90s (I believe) without luck. It was a lone old guy riding a cafe bike. I think the bike was a 4cylinder Honda but I can't be 100% positive. I think it was maybe a bank commercial? Anybody??

I didn't remember at first but my addled brain seems to recall, not only was the bike Japanese but the old guy was too.

One I'm thinking of is, the scene opens and the bike moves right to left and there are close up shots of the bike & a rider wearing a full face helmet.
At the end the bike stops and the helmet comes off revealing the guy is about 70 - 75  years old and caucasian.

I remember the one you're thinking of too and as I recall it was a Geico commercial
