Title: Atlanta Area Enfield Rides
Post by: BigDon on November 26, 2008, 03:54:51 am
I know winter is coming up quick, alright already here, but I wanted to plant the seed for a series of rides next spring. Leaving from either Canton or Woodstock Georgia.

I have been riding in North GA, TN and Western NC for the last 9 or 10 years and know some great roads. I would enjoy sharing them with other RE enthusiasts and maybe learning a few new ones from you.

I am up for a ride most any weekend (once I clear it with the Boss ;D).

So if there are any other riders in the area who would like to meet, eat and ride let me know.

We don't have to wait till next spring, if its going to be over 40 I'm in!

I'll come from upstate SC to meet you somewhere in North GA.  But I gotta tell ya, 40 deg is pretty cold for a long ride.  I'd rather shoot for 50ish and above.

Hope to meet you soon,
Bob H.

BigDon, I'm in!

Let's touch base and not wait until we go riding to get to know each other.  You too are invited to a Cuban dinner, man.  You got my cell phone; so, holler at me!

Cabo

You ever eat at Coco Loco on Sidney Marcus off Piedmont? Good Cuban / Carribean food.

Maybe too far south for you but I eat lunch there occasionally. My office is in the Powers Ferry / Windy Hill area, I live in Smyrna, but have several friends up in Roswell area which is why we meet near the Silos when we ride.

I will call you to set up a lunch.

Bob

I will post when we ride towards you or go for an overnight ride so you can join in.

Even if it is just halfway between us to meet for lunch. Where in SC so I can plan something.

Cabo, you up for that if is it warm enough? ;D

After this weekend December is pretty much shot for me with travel and the holidays, but first warm weekend after the 1st and I will set up a ride.

BigDon, yes I have eaten at Coco Loco.  I'll wait for your call to set up a luncheon meeting.  And, I am only about 7 miles from the Silos -- good place from which to start a ride.  As far as the SC ride goes, let's keep it on the radar...

I'm in if the temps over 30 degrees and no rain or snow are forecasted.
bobhaub - I live in Rabun County, Ga. and if you plan to meet up with this crew, let me know and I'll join you on your way thru here.

4 RE's in one location?
Around here you don't even see that at the dealer... :-\

Sounds like a good time.

BigDon, Lawrence, et al

I'm near Pelzer, SC.  About 2 Bullet hours from Clayton.  A bit closer to Toccoa.

I've met two other upstate bulleteers, one in Mauldin and one in Dacusville (krodaddy). I think at least one would be up for a ride.  Krodaddy posts here occassionally.

SRL790 with his 1954 350 is near Toccoa, so that makes 7.

there might be more around here in NE Ga.- SC - my Enfield dealer is over in Westminster SC (30 miles east of Clayton) and maybe they can add some folks to a group ride.

Great.

If not this winter then for sure come spring for a weekend or longer ride.

When  a weekend comes up this winter with decent weather anyone of us should post here for the meet for lunch ride.
