due to a member JVS saying my imput to the forum was really of no importance due to limited time with various bikes I have no option but to total delete all info from this file and as of now ...its tptally gone! this thread is officially closed for good.

the first of many as I work my way back through the archives.

That is really sad that you let just one member convince you that all of your valuable and interesting posts should be deleted, Bill. I really wish that you hadn't taken his derogatory comments so personally and reacted to them with the nuclear option.  At one time or another every forum has something like this happen to a member and sometimes you just have to shrug it off and let things cool down a bit.

Right now, what with most people experiencing a long lock-down in their homes, there is a tendency to lash out at the rest of the world. Unfortunately, that can even happen on a laid-back motorcycle forum.   :(  Please continue to contribute to this forum.

Well said Richard.

Bill, it's the Internet. There will always be a minority of sad trolls whose only aim is to get a reaction. Ignore them, or in this case him. You've put up some of the most balanced and credible material on the 650, which is really valuable stuff, in contrast to all the hype out there.

Please keep them coming!

"limited time with various bikes" would describe every single motorcycle journalist out there

It would be very hard to get any sort of valid comparison across brands if the only people allowed to comment on a bike were fanboys that have ridden the same marque for 30 years.

WildBill is not happy about some derogatory comments that were directed at him recently, so he has decided to drop out of the forum and is attempting to remove all of his previous posts. At least that is my understanding of the situation.  ???

Guys, is it really derogatory if he does/has done the same to others? We can be the big men and stay quiet whilst he says negative things to others. I've always tried to do this but sometimes the lines get crossed.

Maybe I crossed it too, but I thought it was valid this time. Please see his comments over the years, especially on the first page here: https://forum.classicmotorworks.com/index.php?topic=28366.0

I like some of his posts too, but that doesn't mean that his sneaky comments go unnoticed.

You can check my previous posts as well. I believe I haven't said crap to anyone, it is most likely just to him because of his attitude towards others.

JVS, In my opinion you did nothing wrong whatsoever. In fact your mature response was commendable and I thank you for stepping up. It appears that many of the hastily deleted posts have now been restored, despite his efforts to cut and run with the evidence of his behavior. Forum members can now read the entire thread as it unfolded and decide for themselves. Some may find it funny and others disturbing. Everyone's different.  All watches and near constant references to his personal wealth aside, I personally had enough with his vulgarity and complete disrespect of fellow forum members. Well done.
